This fantastic site gives free classes online - with subtitles!
Council-run classes used to be available, then as time went on became harder to come by. Now they are virtually non-existent.
I love this site because it splits up the classes into bitesize learning, and also shows you the shape of a person's lips from the side as well as the front. It is an excellent resource.
So if you are hard of hearing, or just want to be able to chat up guys in crowded nightclubs more effectively, head on over and give it a go.
If you are interested in sign language, which is a great fun course to do, I recommend the official Signature course, which I took locally in Huddersfield. More fun with a friend, as then you have someone to practice with.
