So you want to hear phone calls, but you don't want the aids to go dull every time someone sends you a text? You're in the right place.
I'm an iPhone person, so I'll start there. Did I mention how much easier iPhones are for hearing aid users..?
IPHONE
Settings
Accessibility
Hearing Devices
Where it says "Play System Sounds", switch the toggle button off (it should go grey)
ANDROID*
For Samsung and most of Android devices:
Go to: Settings → Connections
Select Bluetooth
Find your hearing aids in the list of paired devices
Blue name → Actively connected and streaming audio
Gray/white name → Paired but not streaming audio
To stop streaming (e.g., calls or music), tap on your hearing aids' name. The color will change, indicating streaming is off while keeping them paired.
*Because I am not an Android expert, I have copied this part from Jabra's website. Original can be found here
