For patients with a single Cochlear branded cochlear implant (CI), the NHS tend to fit an NHS Resound/Danalogic aid, as standard, to the ear on the opposite side.

This is well and good, but private hearing aid users can sometimes be disappointed that their new CI with having to return to using NHS tech, earmould and hard-to-access NHS service for their aid.
I am happy to report that I have completed my training on aids that complement the Cochlear CI, with the clinical team at GN Resound. This means I can fit a top performing aid which will work in tandem with your implant. The aid will be able to stream music, phone calls etc alongside the CI, so you hear in both ears. We can enhance the directionality of the sound coming in and match it to the implant also.
Fitting implant patients requires a bit more patience and balancing, so you can expect a few more appointments than before, to ensure we get the implant/aid balanced correctly. However it is definitely possible to return to great service and a top-notch aid after your implant.
Do get in touch with me if you would like to find out more, or arrange a trial.
